Beach Dance

Beach dance merges movement, music and nature at Presque Isle State Park. Having the freedom to move your body in the way it wants to move, while listening to exhilarating music is a powerful experience. If you love the beach and love to dance, Beach Dance is something you don't want to miss.
There are no "right steps" to learn. No choreography. No previous dance experience necessary. Just moving to the music in anyway you chose with your feet in the sand and the sun on your face. Some participants walk...some draw in the sand...others splash along the waters edge and let the rhythms of the music prompt them to twist, turn and dance along the shore. It is magical!
Each participant uses one of the 20 Beach Dance ipods that have been synced with an identical play list of songs. After simultaneously turning on the ipods, participants listen to music that is especially designed to prompt movement with its tempo, variety of styles and rhythms. You move freely on the beach while being connected through sound to the rest of the group.
